Abstract

Abstract. The relevance of the topic is due to the need to preserve and stimulate the motivation of professional activity of law enforcement officers in wartime conditions. The purpose of this article is to determine the theoretical foundations of the study of motivation and create an integrative model of motivational factors in the activities of law enforcement officers. In accordance with the purpose, modern theories and applied research on the motivation of professional activity are analyzed; various scientific approaches to the analysis of this problem are considered; the feasibility of a polyparadigmatic approach in its development is substantiated, which makes it possible to determine the role of different mental modes in the formation of motivation. The methodology of problem analysis was formed by the general theory of motivation of activity, which is based on both differentiation and integration of existing knowledge in various fields; research methods – analysis and generalization of scientific research results. Psychological concepts covering the system of external and internal motivational factors of activity are considered. Foreign and domestic experience of studying motivation of activity in special conditions is analyzed. Predictors that determine the preservation and stimulation of motivation for law enforcement activities in wartime conditions are identified. The leading role of competence and belonging to a professional group as system-forming factors in the hierarchical structure of motives is substantiated. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the systematization of knowledge about the motivational factors of law enforcement activities. The practical significance is represented by the definition of strategies for psychodiagnostic work with the prediction of the effectiveness of professional activities as a direction for improving the organizational, methodological and content principles of professional psychological training.
