Mission and scope

The aim of the scientific journal «Legal Psychology» is to disseminate scientific ideas and the results of empirical and theoretical research in the field of psychology, to deepen understanding of the psychological patterns of social development, and to promote interdisciplinary dialogue between psychology and law.
 
Main tasks:

publication of scientific research results on theoretical and practical issues in the field of psychology and law in compliance with international standards of publication ethics;

promoting the development of science in Ukraine by creating an open information environment that ensures interaction between leading experts and young scientists in the field of legal psychology, ensuring open access to materials and upholding the principles of academic integrity;

creating conditions for the publication of discussion materials through objective peer review and providing recommendations to authors on improving the textual presentation of ideas and results;

promoting the implementation of scientific research results in the practical activities of law enforcement agencies, judicial institutions, educational institutions and other institutions whose activities are related to law enforcement and psychological support;

developing creative cooperation between scientists from various educational institutions in Ukraine and around the world.

The journal focuses on the scientific understanding of complex psychological phenomena that arise at the intersection of social, legal and professional contexts, highlighting topical issues of psychological support for security sector employees, particularly in conditions of social instability, preventing their professional burnout, psychological foundations of morality, self-improvement and personal development, psychological and legal factors of criminal behaviour, etc.
